ÜBER MICH/ABOUT ME
Ich bin Oona Tapani,
Autorin und Illustratorin von Kinderbüchern.
Ich wurde in Finnland geboren und bin begeistert von den skandinavischen Wäldern und Seen. Aufgewachsen bin ich in Deutschland, wo ich heute in der nähe von Hamburg lebe. Ich liebe Pflanzen, Tiere und Dinge die auf den ersten Blick etwas seltsam wirken. In meinen Illustrationen kombiniere ich diese Elemente auf liebenswürdige weise. In meinen Büchern vermittle ich gern Konzepte die eine gute Entwicklung der kindlichen Psyche fördern und trotzdem Spaß machen. Im Jahr 2022 erhielt ich einen Bachelor-Abschluss in Illustration von der HAW Hamburg. Seitdem bin ich freiberuflich tätig.

I´m Oona Tapani, an illustrator based in Germany.
I was born in Finland and raised in Hamburg.
I specialize in childrensbookillustration but can do cover-design and editorial as well.
I love plants, animals and everything wonderous and magical. In my illustrations, I try to combine these elements in a charming way.
In my books, I like to convey concepts that promote a good mental health in children, so they can grow into healthy adults.
